Are you a ‘Final Jeopardy’ genius? Test your brainpower with this week’s prompts

TV Insider is rounding up the Final Jeopardy clues that aired this past week, in case you missed them. Test your brainpower and see if you have what it takes to be on the show!

Is there no greater joy in life than watching? Danger! and know the answer to a Final Jeopardy clue that the contestants don’t know? You don’t need a cable subscription to feel that temporary rush. Here are the Final Jeopardy clues from the week of November 18 to 22. See how many you can get correct (playing the 30-second Think Music is optional but optimal), and let us know how you did in the comments below!

Monday November 18

The category was “American Women” and the clue was, “In 1900, she told Mr. Dobson, “Get out of the way.” I don’t want to hit you, but I’m going to break this den of vice.”

The clue was about a woman who controversially opposed alcohol before Prohibition, and the clue referenced what she told an unlicensed bar owner in Kansas. Only one contestant got the answer right, but the returning champion, Paul Clauson, had a big lead, so he won his second game with $21,099.

Tuesday November 19

The clue for “Sports & The City” was: “At 800 West Main and 700 Central in this city there is a business and a location that are both involved in Triple Crowns.”

The clue referred to the manufacturers of the Louisville Slugger baseball bat and the first leg of horse racing’s Triple Crown. Only one competitor was right, but another newcomer, Mikey McCullough, had a big enough lead to become the new champion with $18,200.

Wednesday November 20

The clue for ‘Figures of Myth’ was: ‘Ovid says that he ‘fell over, beating wildly with bare arms through the unstoppable air… crying out for his father’s help.’

The passage is from Metamorphoses by Ovid. It was a three-way bummer because no one got the right answer. I think the players flew too close to the sun! Contestant Mehal Shah won and became the new champion with $9,799.

Thursday, November 21

The clue for ‘International Studies’ read: ‘After the student unrest in 1968, the university of this city was divided into thirteen smaller ones in 1970.’

The clue referred to student protests at a university at the time over poor living conditions on campus, and the French government restructuring the school. Only one player was right, but returning champion Mehal Shah managed to win his second game with $36,263.

Friday November 22

The clue for ‘Movies & Psychology’ was: ‘In this film, Paula Alquist says to Gregory Anton: ‘Are you crazy, my man? Or is it me who is angry?’”

The clue was about Ingmar Bergman’s 1944 title film. Only newcomer Adam Hersh was right, finishing the week with another one-day champion and $29,000.

And the correct answers are…

November 18: “Who is: Carrie Nation?” November 19: “What is: Louisville, Kentucky?” November 20: “Who is: Icarus?” November 21: “What is: Paris?” November 22: “What is: Gaslight?”
