    Boise State football running back Ashton Jeanty doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon.

    The star of the No. 13 Broncos (9-1, 6-0) continues to see his chances in the 2024 Heisman Trophy conversation rise as he racks up yards and touchdowns. Jeanty, listed by Boise State as 6-foot-1, rushed 32 times for 159 yards and three touchdowns in a 42-21 win over San Jose State.

    Jeanty has ten games of 100 yards, six games of 150+ rushing yards and four games of 200+ yards this season. With 1,893 rushing yards in ten games, Jeanty is in prime position to break the NCAA single-season record set by Barry Sanders at Oklahoma State in 1988.

    He leads second-place Omarion Hampton of North Carolina (1,422 meters) by almost 500 meters. His 26 rushing touchdowns also surpass the next two rushers, who are at 21.

    Jeanty has 256 carries for 1,893 yards and 26 rushing touchdowns through 10 games. With two regular season games remaining on Boise State’s schedule, Jeanty is just 735 yards shy of Sanders’ record.

    Remark: The Broncos are currently in position to play in the Mountain West championship game and a first-round game in the College Football Playoff, meaning Jeanty has at least five games remaining this season.
