Bad star apologizes for alleged disapproval of actress

Ariana Grande has apologized to the actress who plays horror icon Elvira after accusing the singer of ignoring her during a meet-and-greet.

Actress Cassandra Peterson, who is best known for her alter ego Mistress of the Dark, said Ariana Grande requested tickets for herself and her family members to one of her shows.

She told a panel that she had posed for photos and signed autographs for “all her friends and family members,” but that in return Ariana had refused to pose for a photo and left before the performance.

Ariana Grande responded via Instagram, saying she was “disheartened” to see the comments and claiming she left the event early because she “had an anxiety attack.”

In her response to Cassandra Peterson’s postAriana said she “didn’t even remember” getting the chance to meet the star.

She said the event is believed to have taken place about seven years ago, after her concert in Manchester was targeted in a terror attack.

At the time, Ariana said, “she really wasn’t very good at being in public crowds or loud places.”

“But if I misremember this moment, I sincerely apologize for offending you so much.

“Thank you for being so nice to my mom. She told me how nice you were (she may have different feelings about that now, but I’ll talk to her… obviously we all have our days!).”

She signed off with “Always sending love” and added, “You will always be our queen of Halloween.”

The video of Cassandra Peterson, who also appeared as a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race discussing the interaction, recently went viral.

She was heard laughing when someone else on stage said Ariana is “playing the wrong witch” – referring to her role as Good Witch Glinda in the upcoming film adaptation of Wicked.

Fan edits of the movie poster, created using AI, made headlines during a recent promotional tour.

One fan edit changed the image of Ariana and co-star Cynthia Erivo into an animation of the two fights.

And photoshopped versions of the image, with Cynthia’s eyes removed, have also been criticized by the stars.

“None of this is funny,” Cynthia said. ‘It’s not cute at all. It degrades me. It degrades us.’

Ariana agreed to fan edits can go ‘too far’ that she had “so much respect” for Cynthia and found the issue “very complicated”.
