BARCELONA, Aug 31 (Reuters) – Striker Raphinha scored a hat-trick and provided two assists to lead a surging Barcelona to a 7-0 win over Real Valladolid in La Liga on Saturday.

Barcelona enter the international break as top teams on 12 points from four games, five points ahead of second-placed Villarreal and seven ahead of arch-rivals Real Madrid in fourth place. Both teams have a game in hand.

The home side took a three-goal lead in the first half thanks to goals from Raphinha in the 20th minute, Robert Lewandowski in the 24th minute and Jules Kounde in injury time.

Raphinha scored twice to extend Barça’s lead and assisted Dani Olmo and Ferran Torres to complete the punishment. (Reporting by Fernando Kallas; Editing by Ed Osmond)
