Brandon Graham says he’s out for the season with torn triceps

Brandon Graham was putting together a solid 2024 at age 36, but that has now come to an end.

In the locker room after Sunday’s 37-20 win over the Rams, Graham said he was out all season after suffering a torn triceps.

Graham suffered the injury in the second half on a pass play. He walked off the field and into the locker room to investigate, where he received the news.

“It was a pass play,” Graham said. “The running back came and hit me in the arm here, and I thought it was just – because I was already dealing with my triceps. Just pushing people gives you a little tendonitis.

“This time it was different.”

Although Graham broke the news himself, head coach Nick Sirianni declined to discuss Graham’s injury. But he did say that Graham is one of his favorite players he has ever had the pleasure of coaching.

“We’ll see where it is,” Sirianni said. “I remain hopeful, and we’ll see.”

However, Graham didn’t seem hopeful at all. Instead, he seemed at peace with the situation, knowing he is nearing the end of his career. But he wasn’t ready to formally say this was the end.

“I’m sure I don’t want to go out like that,” Graham said. “I definitely want to be able to finish a whole season before I’m done. But if that’s not in the cards, I’m also happy where I am now. I’m just not there yet.”

Graham had blown the game because of Los Angeles’ foul. He had two tackles for loss, a sack, three QB hits and a pass defended on Sunday night before leaving the game.

“I would have to say it was (one of my better games this year) because I felt good,” Graham said. “I hate having to go like this, but in the end I don’t regret it.”

Graham is in his 15th season with the Eagles after the club drafted him at No. 13 overall in 2010. Including Sunday night’s sack, Graham had 3.5 on the season with six tackles for loss and seven QB hits.
