Broncos’ Josh Reynolds shot after leaving a strip club in the Denver area

Broncos wide receiver Josh Reynolds was injured in a shooting after leaving a strip club outside Denver last week.

According to 9News in Denver, police responded to multiple 911 calls in connection with the shooting early last Friday morning.

Reynolds, 29, and two other men were allegedly followed as they left the strip club and shot while driving a blue Ford Bronco.

Reynolds was reportedly shot twice: once in the back of the head and once in his left arm.

Another man was shot in the back and a third victim was injured by broken glass.

Police later located the vehicle and found it had “numerous bullet defects on the driver’s side and rear windshield,” according to 9News.

The incident took place at Shotgun Willie’s in suburban Denver, the same strip club where Grizzlies star Ja Morant infamously brandished a firearm during a livestream while in a private room he had wallpapered wall to wall with cash.

According to court documents, Reynolds and the other victims said there were no problems at the strip club, but several vehicles began following them from the club onto the highway.

Denver police announced Wednesday that two suspects, Burr Charlesworth and Luis Mendoza, have been arrested in connection with the case.

Surveillance video reportedly showed Mendoza’s vehicle as directly behind the victims.

Charlesworth reportedly told investigators that he had been called in to “help” a friend who had previously had a problem with the victims, and asked them to follow.

Reynolds has 12 catches for 183 yards and a touchdown this season.

He did not play in last Thursday’s game against the Saints as he was placed on IR with a finger injury.

“Josh Reynolds was the victim of a shooting in Denver on Friday and was treated for minor injuries,” the Broncos said in a statement Thursday.

“Out of respect for the legal process, we will defer further comment on this matter to the authorities.”
