The Arizona Cardinals led the Los Angeles Chargers 7-6 at halftime in Week 7 and part of that was due to some absolutely wild plays that resulted in Chargers turnovers.

The Cardinals didn’t convert either turnover into points, but the Chargers didn’t score either.

Here is the first play:

Kyler Murray tried to pass to James Conner over the middle. Khalil Mack tipped the pass, which ended up in the arms of defensive lineman Teair Tart for an interception.

Tart rumbled into Arizona territory, but Conner chased him from behind and knocked the ball out for a fumble. Michael Wilson recovered the football, so the Cardinals withstood the interception by forcing a fumble and getting a reset on the drive instead of giving the Chargers the ball within field goal range.

The second play saved a touchdown.

Justin Herbert threw a deep pass to Jalen Reagor, who caught the ball and ran down the sideline. It looked like he was going to score a touchdown. Star cornerback Thomas V punched the ball out at the three-yard line, the ball bouncing off Reagor’s leg and into the end zone where safety Jalen Thompson recovered it for a touchback. Instead of a 7-0 Chargers lead, it was scoreless and the Cardinals took over.

What crazy plays under the lights at State Farm Stadium.
