Channing Tatum posts about working with Zoë Kravitz a few hours before the split announcement

Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz have ended their three-year relationship, multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE on Oct. 29, a surprising turn for the couple, who had become one of Hollywood’s most talked-about couples.

The split announcement came just hours after Tatum posted an Instagram story promoting their upcoming film, Alpha Gang, a sci-fi thriller in which they will star alongside Cate Blanchett, Dave Bautista, Steven Yeun and Riley Keough. This project marks another collaboration between Tatum and Kravitz, highlighting a professional bond that seemed to reflect their personal closeness.

The couple first sparked romance rumors in 2021 when Kravitz cast Tatum in her directorial film debut, Blink Twice. Their chemistry was evident, and in September of that year, sources confirmed they were officially dating. Over the past three years, they have appeared together at several events, with fans and media alike avidly following their romance.

In October 2023, rumors of an engagement began circulating, adding a new chapter to their evolving love story. In July, Tatum opened up about his experience with Kravitz at Blink Twice, describing the trust and deep bond they shared on set. “When you can look across the room and know you have the best person next to you, solving problems together and looking for answers just as passionately, that’s really special,” he said.

Kravitz has similarly praised their bond, calling Tatum an inspiring creative partner and expressing her desire for more joint projects in the future. She shared with PEOPLE her belief that art was their shared “love language,” a way they could deeply support and understand each other. Despite the unexpected end to their relationship, both Tatum and Kravitz appear determined to maintain a positive professional relationship as they promote Alpha Gang and possibly work on future projects together.
