Bob came to town before the Chiefs did.

“There was no Kansas City Chiefs, there was no American Football Conference,” DeWitt said. “This was 1941.”

DeWitt moved from New York to Kansas City as a boy.

He attended Chiefs games at Municipal Stadium when the team moved from Dallas, but the game-day experience changed significantly when Arrowhead Stadium opened in 1972.

93-year-old Chiefs fan begins 50th year as season ticket holder

UPDATE, 1:30 p.m. | Previously, we listed key times for Chiefs fans to keep on hand throughout the afternoon. One of those times was 2:30 p.m., when the club would open the gates to the parking lots surrounding GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

As has become tradition, the indicated opening time of the car park barriers is sometimes slightly earlier.
