Country music star accused of abuse; Ex says: ‘I’m still scared now’

Brianna LaPaglia, better known as Brianna Chickenfry, claims she was abused while in a year-long relationship with ex Zach Bryan.

She claimed on her “BFFs” podcast that she suffered “narcissistic, emotional abuse” for a year before they split last month.

“The last year of my life was the hardest year of my life,” she told cohosts Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards. “Dealing with this guy’s abuse still scares me now.

“My brain has been rewired, I’m afraid of making him angry. “He made me believe everything was my fault. He isolated me from my entire life. He didn’t let me be who I wanted to be. He made me hate everything I loved about myself.”

LaPaglia said she ignored multiple warning signs, causing the situation to escalate.

“He manipulated the f-word out of me,” LaPaglia said. “I don’t expect people to understand emotional abuse if you haven’t experienced it, and I hope you never have to experience it, but if you have, you know what I’m talking about. It was just a constant cycle of, ‘You built you up, you beat you up, you apologized,’ over and over again.”

LaPaglia said she turned down $12 million to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

“I don’t want to buy a damn house in two years,” she said, “and think, ‘Oh, this is the guy’s money who literally ruined me and ruined me for a while. year.’ F-word that.”

Last month, Bryan confirmed the couple’s divorce after just over a year in a post. Bryan made the news public on Instagram.

“Addressing something,” Bryan wrote on Instagram, “Brianna and I broke up and I respect and love her with every ounce of my heart. She has loved me unconditionally for a long time and I will always thank her for that.”

LaPaglia said in an emotional video message via YouTube that she was “blindsided” by the news but was focused on her healing.
