It’s already a very warm and muggy start to the morning today. You can feel it’s going to get hot.

High temperatures will soar to near 90 degrees along the lakeshore, while inland areas will be closer to the mid-90s. With dew points in the 70s, heat index values ​​will approach or exceed 100 degrees.

The wind from the south keeps the heat index around 32 degrees Celsius near the lake, which is why there are no heat warnings in some areas.

Tuesday is expected to be the hottest and most dangerous day, with highs in the low to mid 90s across the area. Heat index values ​​will approach 105 to 110 degrees.

There is also a chance of storms tonight and Tuesday. Most storms will remain in the north on the edge of the heat, but some could make their way into southeastern Wisconsin. All storms could be strong to severe.
