Hugh Jackman may not have been a free agent at the start of his alleged romance with Sutton Foster.

The 56-year-old was married to ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness for 27 years before the two announced they were divorcing. Rumors have swirled in recent months that Jackman may be walking out of his marriage to Furness, 68, with his “The Music Man” co-star, 49.

Now, the Australian actress has seemingly responded to the news of the ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ star’s relationship with Foster.

Furness “liked” a message from her private Instagram account from gossip blogger Tasha Lustig, in which she claimed that Jackman had “blindsided” Furness by sharing his relationship with Foster, according to US Weekly on Wednesday.

The producer’s girlfriend, British media personality Amanda de Cadenet, also weighed in on the allegations, writing in a comment last month: “You’re right on point here. My beloved friend Deb is about to get her ass ripped off, fyi!”

The Post has reached out to representatives for Jackman, Furness and Foster for comment.

Meanwhile, sources claimed to the outlet on Tuesday that Jackman was having “an affair” with Foster.

“Sutton and Hugh’s relationship is the reason Hugh and Deb divorced,” said the insider, who is close to Foster.

“A lot of people on Broadway knew, and we kept it quiet because they’re both such nice and wonderful people. Everyone respected his privacy. But there was an affair and overlap.”

The source also claimed that Jackman and Foster are currently together, adding, “They are really happy right now.”

Furness reportedly had “suspicions” about her longtime husband who worked with the actress on Broadway.

Jackman and Foster appeared together in “The Music Man,” which ran on the Great White Way from December 2021 to January 2023.

Nine months later, Jackman and Furness announced the end of their 27-year marriage.

“Deborra-Lee had her suspicions when Hugh started working with Sutton,” a source told the Daily Mail earlier this month. “Their relationship is no secret to her.”

Earlier this week, Page Six reported that Foster had filed for divorce from her husband of 10 years, Ted Griffin, with sources telling the outlet that she and Jackman are now officially an item.

“They are 100% together, in love and want to spend the rest of their lives together,” said an insider. “They do everything they can to hide it, but it is common knowledge.”

Furness, who shares adopted children Oscar, 24, and Ava, 19, with Jackman, has yet to speak publicly about the end of her marriage to the “X-men” hunk — or about rumors that he and Foster are dating.

The source told the Daily Mail that she “wants to stay out of this story.”

“She will not comment on this and will not speak out against Hugh,” they said. “When they divorced, they agreed to keep everything that happened during their marriage private.”

“Time has passed for Hugh to mourn his divorce and now that Sutton is over her relationship, they are getting closer to making it official,” a second insider added.

‘They’re not going to shove it down everyone’s throat. They became good friends while working together and confided in each other about their individual problems.”

The source noted that “Hugh still has enormous respect for Deborra-Lee. They have children and that is important to both of them. They fix what they can, and will never speak ill of each other.”

Jackman and Furness married in 1996. In September 2023, they released a joint statement about their divorce.

“We have been blessed to have had a beautiful, loving marriage together as husband and wife for nearly three decades,” they told People at the time.

“Our journey is now changing and we have decided to part ways to pursue our individual growth. Our family is and will remain our top priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love and kindness.”
