Diddy just broke his silence from behind bars. See the surprising Instagram post

Many of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Instagram followers probably did a double-take on Tuesday after seeing a post from him pop up in their feeds.

That’s because the controversial rapper remains behind bars without bail following his arrest in September on sex trafficking charges.

The surprising part was innocent enough: he wished his youngest child, daughter Love, a happy second birthday. The carousel showed several photos of the toddler eating cake and being at the beach with her infamous dad. The child’s mother, Dana Tran — a cybersecurity expert whose birth certificate listed his hometown as Newport Beach, California — is nowhere in the picture.

The caption wrote the words to the song “Happy Birthday” and ended with “daddy loves you.”

If inquiring minds wanted to know how the father of seven was able to post from his new home at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, they couldn’t ask. Comments are disabled.

According to UsWeekly, Combs has very limited access to the outside world, so someone close to him probably did it for him with his password.

A former MDC inmate told the magazine that “heavily monitored” prisoners are given 300 minutes a month to make phone calls, and that “email costs about five cents a minute.”

According to the detention center’s website, phone and email privileges are being expanded to “maintain ties” and to “increase the likelihood of successful reentry into the community, thereby reducing the likelihood of recidivism.”
