Donald Trump’s Pittsburgh Rally: Steelworkers, Expletives and Arnold Palmer

Donald Trump attacked his rival Vice President Kamala Harris, touted support from steelworkers and appeared to make surprising comments about the late golf legend Arnold Palmer during a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday to drum up support in the critical swing state as Election Day draws to a close. comes closer.

The former president denounced Harris, whom he described as “radical left.”

“You need to tell Kamala Harris that you’ve had enough, that you just can’t take it anymore,” the former president said.

“We can’t stand you, you’re like a vice president, the worst. You’re the worst vice president. Kamala, you’re fired, get out of here, you’re fired, get out of here.”

Recommendations from steelworkers

Trump also touted the expressions of support from steelworkers, several of whom joined him on stage, including Richard Tikey, vice president of US Steelworkers 1557.

“Today I am honored to receive the support of three local union members representing the American steel industry,” Trump announced at the meeting. Polls show Trump enjoying strong support among working-class voters.

Not all steelworkers unions have backed Trump, as the United Steelworkers endorsed Harris in July.

Arnold Palmer anecdote

During the rally, Trump appeared to insinuate that golf legend Arnold Palmer was well-endowed.

Trump said the late golfer, who died in 2016, was “all man” and “when he was in the shower with other pros, they came out and said, ‘Oh my God, that’s incredible.’”

Trump emphasized that he “had to say it,” but that he had refrained from saying anything more explicit out of respect for the “very educated” women in the crowd.

While attendees chuckled at the comments, they faced a mixture of confusion and criticism on social media.

Trump says he’ll see the Steelers

Before the rally, Trump announced he would attend a Pittsburgh Steelers football game, but appeared to mix up the date.

In an audio interview, Trump said: “I’m going to Pennsylvania, as you know.

“And then I’m going to do a big stop, a big rally, and then tonight I’m going to watch the Pittsburgh Steelers play against, I think, the New York Jets.”

However, the Steelers did not play that night, as indicated by Harris’ campaign team on Kamala HQ’s social media account.

The Steelers’ game against the Jets was scheduled to take place the following evening.

Fox switches from Trump Rally to Harris Coverage

Fox News opted out of coverage of Trump’s meeting at an event Harris held in Atlanta.

A clip of the switch, shared by Harris’ campaign team, claimed the outlet had switched to “Vice President Harris’ much larger rally,” though the post did not mention attendance figures for either campaign event.

Newsweek reached out to the Trump campaign via email outside of standard business hours on Sunday for comment.
