Aaron Jones M/L then 69.5 rushing yards

The Minnesota Vikings starting tailback enters this matchup averaging 15.6 carries for 70.6 rushing yards per game, with an efficient 4.5 yards per carry.

His upcoming opponent, the Jacksonville Jaguars, have allowed 4.4 yards per rushing attempt to opposing running backs this season. While their run defense was a strength earlier this year, they have failed as of late. Three of the past four starting running backs they faced exceeded 90 rushing yards, with two of those players reaching more than 125 yards on the ground.

Mac Jones replaces the injured Trevor Lawrence. In his first start this season, he will face a Vikings defense that leads the league in QB pressure and blitz percentage. This defensive pressure will likely disrupt Jones and the Jaguars’ offense, giving the Vikings consistent, advantageous field position.

Given this lead, Minnesota will likely want to control the flow of the game and prioritize their ground attack even more than usual.

Derek Carr M/L 198.5 Passing yards

Despite missing its top receiver, Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr is in a strong position to surpass 198.5 passing yards this Sunday.

The Atlanta Falcons allow 218 passing yards per game and have the NFL’s highest completion percentage at 71%.

With the Saints entering the match as 3.5-point underdogs, they will likely have to play from the back. Considering the Falcons should have little trouble scoring against one of the league’s weakest defenses, Carr and the Saints will have to lean on the passing game to keep pace with their division rival.
