Drake considers Steve Lacy a ‘fragile opponent’, singer responds

Drake appeared on Canadian streamer xQc’s livestream on Sunday night (November 24), and the 6 God didn’t hold back on a host of topics.

At one point in the stream, Steve Lacy’s Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Bad Habit” played and Drake seemed to shade the artist. “This guy is a vulnerable opponent, but it’s a good song,” Drizzy said. “Chat knows what I’m talking about. Fragility.”

Lacy quickly caught wind of what happened when Drake’s comments went viral. He took to his IG Story on Monday (November 25) and posted an image of what Drake had said and written: “Yoooooooooo,” while Drizzy’s song “I Get Lonely” provided the soundtrack.

He followed posts on his feed, including a selfie with a finger heart, captioned: “WAITTTTTT LMAOOOO WHAT IN THE.” He then went on to post a grinning emoji mocking Drake: “Who’s trying to be my…vulnerable opponent?”

It appears Drake has taken issue with Lacy — a Compton native — appearing on stage at Kendrick Lamar’s Pop Out concert and dancing to “Not Like Us.”

In October 2022, Lacy scored his first No. 1 hit when “Bad Habit” topped the Billboard Hot 100, reaching the top after spending four weeks at No. 2.

Drake generated a lot of headlines with his appearance on the xQc stream. He expanded on his riff with The Weeknd and “We don’t listen to real 6-sided music.”
