Three straight losses have plagued the Auburn Tigers to a 2-4 overall record. Coming off a bye week this weekend, a lot of things have to change if the Plains boys want to even make a bowl game.

That future doesn’t look too likely right now, as the stats don’t have Auburn coming out victorious when it takes the field against the Missouri Tigers on Saturday.

According to the ESPN Football Power Index and matchup predictor, Auburn has only a 32.5% chance of beating Missouri at Faurot Field. If that percentage becomes reality, it would be the fourth loss in a row this season.

However, since the opening statistics were released, the numbers have fallen. BetMGM opened the spread at -6.5 in favor of the boys from Columbia, but it has now dropped to -4. Likewise, the over/under was originally placed at 51.5 points total, but now stands at 50.5, indicating a possible defensive struggle.

Missouri’s offense ranks ninth in the SEC in average total yards at 434 yards per game, two spots lower than Auburn. It’s a rushing attack, but it beats Auburn by a wide margin at 187.5 yards per game, which ranks sixth in the conference.

Missouri’s defense has also been impressive all year, averaging 270.8 yards per game, good enough for fourth among other teams in the SEC. This could pose a problem for Auburn’s offense, which has struggled to finish drives in general this year.
