ESPN is canceling its long-running show ‘Around the Horn’ in the summer of 2025

ESPN’s long-running and highly popular debate program Around the Horn is nearing its end.

According to Ryan Glasspiegel of the NY Post, ESPN is planning to cancel Around the Horn during the summer of 2025, ending its 23-year run on television.

Since its debut in 2002, the program has aired between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM ET, in addition to Excuse the interruption. Tony Reali hosted Around the Horn since 2004, after taking over the role from Max Kellerman, the program’s first host.

According to the report, ESPN plans to meet with the executive producer of MOT, Erik Rydholm, to discuss possible concepts to replace Around the Horn with a new show in the same time slot when it ends next summer.

Glasspiegel and the NY Post first reported this summer that ESPN was considering canceling the show.

During the term of more than twenty years Around the Horn has presented some of the most popular sports journalists in the industry in a four-panel debate style, including Mina Kimes, Woody Paige, JA Adande, Bob Ryan, Jackie MacMullan, Pablo Torre and many more.
