Juninho’s miss at the end of the second half was one of the nerve-wracking moments for Tottenham.

The Brazilian forward’s miss in particular was difficult to explain as it looked easier to score, but Qarabag had a series of late chances as Spurs began to make mistakes in the build-up of the 10-man game.

Abdellah Zoubir and Patrick Andrade shot just wide of the goal and Micky van de Ven made a fantastic ball in his own penalty area.

Ben Davies was also caught in possession, but goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario just managed to win the ball before Juninho could grab hold of it.

That’s not to say Spurs didn’t play well and largely dominated the rest of the half, despite Radu Dragusin’s red card in the seventh minute.
