One of the most unexpected collaborations of 2024 turned out to be one of the most successful, as Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga’s “Die With A Smile” debuted in this week’s top five. Billboard Hot 100. That’s a good thing, because Bruno is said to have so many gambling debts that he will continue working in Vegas until the city has become a resort town.

Or at least that’s what fans joked, despite an MGM Resorts rep disproving that particular rumor shortly after it spread online. Never forget that on the internet, jokes > facts… but this time around, it seems like the star at the center of the rumors is at least in on the joke. While he’s been retweeting fans’ posts about the new collaboration, which included fan art of scenes from the video, DIY figurines of Bruno, and even some seriously spectacular nail art, he didn’t miss out on a TikTok/Reel from a fan dancing with a caption that read, “Lady Gaga on her way to getting Bruno Mars out of debt.” You can check it out below.

The two stars had been eyeing the duo since June, when Bruno told Las Vegas Review a song with Gaga was on his bucket list. Then, in early August, Gaga herself added fuel to the rumor fire, first by posting a video of herself playing piano in a Bruno Mars T-shirt, and then by confirming not only the collab’s existence but also its placement on her upcoming seventh album.
