RAPID CITY, SD (KOTA) – A first weather advisory is in effect for Tuesday, mainly in the afternoon and evening, due to the threat of severe thunderstorms.

Much of the morning and early afternoon will be fairly quiet with plenty of sunshine, but clouds will start to form around 2pm and later. The severe threat is from 4pm to 10pm, with damaging winds the main concern. Some hail is possible with these storms, but less of a threat than the wind.
