UPDATE: Fortnite developer Epic Games estimates that the downtime will last as much as seven hours!

According to the estimated maintenance schedule posted on Epic Games’ server status website, the downtime is expected to last from 6am GMT to 1pm GMT UK time.

However, it’s worth pointing out that Epic posted something similar before the start of the previous season, only for the maintenance to end much earlier than expected.

It seems more likely that Fortnite’s downtime will end sometime between 10am and 11am GMT (or perhaps even earlier), so check back often for the latest updates.

ORIGINAL: Fresh off an in-game appearance with Ice Spice and Snoop Dogg, Fortnite developer Epic Games has announced launch plans for Chapter 2 Remix.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix is ​​coming to PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox consoles, PC, Android and Nintendo Switch on November 2.

Of course, as with the launch of any new season, fans will only be able to start playing after a period of server downtime.

Fortnite developer announced the start of server downtime on X (formerly Twitter), explaining when the game will be offline and matchmaking disabled.

“It’s time to hit the rewind button!” reads an Epic Games tweet. “Downtime for v32.00 starts at 2am ET and matchmaking ends shortly before.”

For UK fans, matchmaking will be turned off around 05:30 GMT, with the game being taken completely offline at 06:00 GMT.

Epic hasn’t officially confirmed when the game will be back online, but the launch of a new season typically results in extended periods of server downtime.

This means that Fortnite will likely remain offline until at least 10am GMT, and possibly until 11am GMT.

In a follow-up tweet, Epic confirmed that the Chapter 2 Remix download will be larger than usual.

“Please note the game update v32.00 will be a larger download compared to previous updates,” reads an Epic tweet.

In terms of what fans can expect, Remix will reintroduce the Chapter 2 map, only with a surprising twist.

The shortened season introduces new map points, gameplay elements and characters every week.

As of November 2, the Agency complex will now be called The Doggpound, which is described as the new home for Snoop’s venture. Players can also earn Snoop’s Drum Gun Mythic, unlock the LBC ’93 Dogg Outfit by picking up the Music Pass, and purchase the Snoop Dogg Outfit from the store.

Eminem will take center stage in week 2, followed by Ice Spice in week 3 and Juice WRLD in the final week.

The Battle Pass contains approximately 70 different items, including the new Kicks cosmetics (shoes) from November 12.
