A Georgia high school has been temporarily placed on strict lockdown following reports of gunfire coming from the building.

Authorities confirmed Wednesday that multiple victims were killed at Apalachee High School in Georgia.

“At approximately 10:23 p.m., officers from multiple law enforcement agencies and fire/EMS personnel were dispatched to the high school in reference to a reported active shooter,” the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement reported by local 11Alive. “At the time of this release, one suspect has been taken into custody. There have been reports of victims, but details on the number or condition of victims are not available at this time.”
