Golden Knights host the Kings for their second exhibition game

The Vegas Golden Knights host the Los Angeles Kings for their second exhibition game.

The Golden Knights will field an intriguing lineup featuring a mix of NHL players, top prospects and players vying for the final available roster spots. Golden Knights fans will see Alexander Holtz and Ilya Samsonov make their Golden Knights debuts, and HC Bruce Cassidy said the plan is for Samsonov to play the full 60 minutes.

Brendan Brisson, Kaedan Korczak and Tanner Pearson are all playing in their second exhibition game, as Brisson and Pearson battle for a spot on the team and Korczak continues his battle for a spot on the Golden Knights’ defense.

The Kings play an experienced lineup tonight that includes Tanner Jeannot, Trevor Moore, Alex Laferriere, Alex Turcotte, Kevin Fiala, Phillip Danault, Warren Foegele, Tyler Madden, Andre Lee, Quinton Byfield, Glenn Gawdin and Aatu Jamsen in attack.

The defense features Kyle Burroughs, Drew Doughty, Jordan Spence, Mikey Anderson, Jared Woolley and Vladislav Gavrikov. Darcy Kuemper and George Carter are the two goalies.

Cassidy will be looking for strong performances from Brisson, Korczak and Pearson to give him reasons to play them more often. Zach Whitecloud will need to be at his best with Korczak knocking on the door. He’ll also be hoping that Holtz, Tomas Hertl and Nicolas Roy can find chemistry and produce something offensively.

Puck drop is tonight at 7:00 PM PST at the T-Mobile Arena.
