Here’s how to check if your ballot needs to be ‘cured’

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – In Clark County, more than 3,000 ballots must already have their signatures “restored” to count in the 2024 general election starting Oct. 25.

When the signature on a ballot does not match the registered voter’s signature, election officials need the voter to “cure” their ballot by verifying the signature so their ballot can be counted. Ballots that are not healed by 5:00 PM on Monday, November 14 will not count.

HOW TO KNOW IF YOUR MOOD NEEDS TO BE CURED

Clark County has updated a link on its website listing ballots that require signature recovery.

Download the text file and search for your name to see if your ballot needs to be recovered.

You can also check the status of your ballot on the Nevada Secretary of State’s BallotTrax website.

WHAT TO DO IF YOUR MOOD NEEDS HEALING

If your ballot needs to be recovered, you can call the Clark County Election Hotline at 702-455-VOTE (8683) and ask how to recover your ballot. You can also request an affidavit confirming curing.

Clark County also has a TEXT2CURE service. You must have your unique PIN provided by the elections department. Text “Nevada” to 28683 and follow the prompts to recover your ballot.
