High school football scores in Akron, Ohio, OHSAA 3rd round playoff games

Nine Akron-area teams will play in the third round of OHSAA high school playoff games today at 7 p.m.

Topping that list is Walsh Jesuit (12-0), which was ranked No. 1 in the latest USA Today Network Ohio Super 25 Poll and is the only No. 1 seed in the Akron area. The Warriors will play Austintown Fitch (9-3) in a Division II regional semifinal.

Also in Division II, Archbishop Hoban (10-2) will play Nordonia (10-2), Highland (12-0) will play Whitehouse Wayne (12-0) and Wadsworth (11-1) will play Avon (12-0). ).

In Division III, CVCA (10-2) will play Gilmour Academy (11-1) and Aurora (11-1) will play Youngstown Ursuline (11-1).

Streetsboro (12-0) will play Perry (11-1) in Division IV, and Manchester (11-1) will face Poland (10-2) in Division V.

OHSAA state football championship games in Canton in December

Ohio High School Football’s 10-game regular season leads to the Ohio High School Athletic Association playoffs in November – and ultimately to the OHSAA State Championship games. The state finals are Dec. 5-7 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton – the fourth straight year all the titles have been played there.
