The No. 9 Alabama Crimson Tide (7-2) welcomes the Mercer Bears (9-1) to Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00 PM ET on ESPN+, and while this game may seem like a foregone conclusion, the Bears are a scrappy team ready to bring the A-game to Tuscaloosa.

Mercer may not be an SEC powerhouse, but their 9-1 record speaks volumes about their season. The Bears are riding a three-game win streak, including last week’s 34-0 shutout of VMI. Mercer allowed just 111 total yards – less than some quarterbacks throw in a single drive – and showed why they are a team that thrives on discipline and effort.

Meanwhile, the Crimson Tide comes into this game with the swagger of a team firing on all cylinders. They have recorded back-to-back wins over ranked opponents, including a 42-13 thrashing of LSU last week. QB Jalen Milroe was electric, especially on the ground. Against LSU, he ran for 185 yards and four touchdowns, providing a dual-threat that left Tiger defenders in the dust.
