Red Bull teammates Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez have played tug-of-war for supremacy at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in recent years. Perez won the race in 2021, Verstappen took it back in 2022 and Perez returned to the winner’s circle last season. The pair will battle it out again this week when Formula 1 returns to Baku, with Verstappen hoping to maintain his stranglehold on top of the drivers’ championship in 2024. The three-time reigning champion holds a 62-point lead over Lando Norris with eight races remaining. Perez is seventh.
