The Tigers started the season with big dreams, but a second-half setback left them clinging to bowl eligibility. At 6-4 overall, LSU will still see action in the postseason, but their hopes of a College Football Playoff run are long gone.

Despite the disappointment, the Tigers should not be ruled out yet. A strong finish to the season could restore some of the swagger Tiger fans know and love. With the game being played in the electrifying atmosphere of Tiger Stadium, LSU will look to come back and remind everyone why Baton Rouge is one of the toughest places to play in college football.

Meanwhile, Vanderbilt has had a season to remember, at least by their standards. Often seen as the SEC’s perennial underdogs, the Commodores have posted a respectable 6-4 record and even cracked the Coaches Poll top 25 at one point. Known as the “upset Kings” this fall, Vandy has taken down some giants along the way and will look to add LSU to their list of victims.

With bowl eligibility already in place, the Commodores are playing with house money, making them a dangerous opponent for an LSU team looking to avoid another disappointment.
