Hurts pays respects to Commanders Rookie Phenom

Week 11 of the NFL season is packed with big games across the league.

The biggest one will probably come on Thursday evening.

Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles get their first shot at rookie phenom Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders in the City of Brotherly Love with first place on the line.

While Hurts and Daniels are two completely different players in their own right, they are two quarterbacks that will remain linked in the future. Hurts is only two years older than Daniels, but knows Philadelphia has a tough assignment in the NFC East.

“I always thought he was a great player,” Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts said. “I was able to win the Heisman, and all the success he’s had – even to this point.”

In college, Hurts was actually in his senior season, while Daniels was just starting his career at Arizona State. The new Commanders quarterback ultimately won the Heisman Trophy, while the Eagles’ starter only finished second in his final year of voting.

Hurts and Daniels are the young quarterbacks in the division right now. They will be connected in the future. With the Eagles and Commanders having been excellent on the field so far, it will only make their matches even more exciting.

Daniels has recorded over 2,500 total yards with 13 total touchdowns and two interceptions through his first 10 games of the season. Hurts said he has racked up just under 2,400 yards in one fewer game with 22 total scores and five interceptions.

Hurts and Daniels will face each other for the first time on Thursday and it will be just one of many the two face in the future.
