Jets WR leaves, assessed for concussion

play

The New York Jets are in a close game with the Houston Texans on “Thursday Night Football.” But they may have to play out the game without one of their best receivers: Davante Adams.

The Jets were driving to end the third quarter when Adams made a 17-yard gain on a crucial fourth-and-1 from the Texans’ 48. He beat Houston’s Kamari Lassiter from the line of scrimmage and got well past the first down. marker before cornerback Eric Murray knocked it out of bounds.

But Adams was slow to get up after the play and later was evaluated for a concussion. He was seen during the match broadcast leaving the field and heading to the locker room.

Adams had six receptions for 54 yards on 10 targets when he left the game. That’s the most catches he’s had in a Jets uniform since a trade brought him to the Jets from Las Vegas.
