Our biggest Italian American is in love! Fresh from performing at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics and in the midst of releasing her seventh studio album, Lady Gaga looks overjoyed with her fiancé, entrepreneur Michael Polansky, as they make their red carpet debut at the Venice International Film Festival. After months of speculation, the couple finally confirmed their engagement, and Gaga’s smile is almost as bright as her massive diamond ring.

In a dramatic look that reminded us of a couture Maleficent, Gaga walked the red carpet in a black, voluminous Christian Dior Haute Couture gown with a plunging neckline and accented with fabulous Tiffany diamonds and a dramatic Philip Treacy headpiece. Polansky wore a tuxedo.

The singer and actor was in town to give the premiere Joker: Foil for two, the movie musical in which she plays Harley Quinn opposite Joaquin Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck. After meeting in a psychiatric hospital, the two spiral deeper into madness as they fall in love, and it’s really all you don’t do wants to be in a relationship.

Gaga actually only confirmed her engagement because she was caught calling Polansky her fiancé in a video taken during the Olympics , but we’re glad she was forced to confess, because if this is their red carpet vibe . (She also came clean about her pregnancy: She’s not.)

“They’re great together,” a source revealed when they announced their engagement. “He’s enthusiastic and supportive of her career. He can’t stand being in the spotlight, but he lets her shine. He has his own business priorities that she supports. They’d both love to have a family,” the source said. Okay, cute!
