Lady Gaga shows her love for her Little Monsters as they continue to promote her new duet with Bruno Mars!

On Thursday, August 22, the 13-time Grammy winner shared a message with fans, nearly a week after she and Mars released their ballad “Die with a Smile,” thanking them for their support.

“It means so much to me to see fans from all over the world celebrating this music. It’s beautiful to see how the lyrics of the song touch your heart and how the music video creates a huge wave of dancing and joy. I’m so grateful for it,” Gaga, 38, wrote on Instagram.

“Thank you thank you thank you for loving our song, I truly love you and I hope the message of love we shared continues to create special moments for all of you in your lives — I know it does every day in mine,” she added. “The power of music is great and your love for this song reminded me of that.”

In addition to the touching caption, the “Bad Romance” singer treated listeners to a series of behind-the-scenes snaps, showing her in a plaid suit, cheetah print and a big updo, from the duo’s recent debut live performance of the song.

On Aug. 16, the artists released their duet and accompanying video, featuring Mars, 38, on guitar and Gaga on piano with a cigarette hanging from her mouth. For the visual, the two wore denim and red ensembles, as the song itself is reminiscent of Mars’ 2021 Silk Sonic effort, which featured production from D’Mile (“Leave the Door Open”) and additional songwriting from James Fauntleroy.

Gaga herself had teased “Die with a Smile” the day before by posting a photo in a Bruno Mars t-shirt. The duo later surprised Mars’ audience at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles for the live debut of the collaboration.

During the show, Mars called Gaga “pop royalty” as they performed for an audience that included Angela Bassett, Simu Liu, Sophia Bush, Meghan Trainor, Kelsea Ballerini, Jennifer Lopez and Derek Hough.

“Bruno and I have a lot of mutual respect for each other and we talked about working together,” Gaga said in a statement after the song’s release. “I was finishing up my own album in Malibu and one night after a long day he asked me to come to his studio to listen to something he was working on.”

“It was around midnight when I got there and I was blown away when I heard what he had started creating,” she added. “We stayed up all night and finished writing and recording the song. Bruno’s talent is indescribable. His musicality and vision are next level. There’s no one else like him.”

Mars added that working with Gaga, who also first found chart success in the late ’00s, was an “honor” for him. “She’s an icon and she makes this song magical. I’m so excited for everyone to hear it,” Mars said in his own statement at the time.
