LeBron James congratulates Dodgers on their move to the NLCS

On Friday night, the Los Angeles Dodgers took on the San Diego Padres in the winner-take-all Game 5 of the National League division series. The Padres had hammered the Dodgers in Game 2 and Game 3 to take a 2–1 series lead, putting the Dodgers in danger, but Shohei Ohtani and crew responded with a convincing victory in Game 4.

On Friday, they shutout San Diego 2-0 to advance to the National League Championship Series for the first time since 2021. LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers had some downtime as his team won’t play until next season’s game. He was at Dodger Stadium on Tuesday.

James then took to X (formerly Twitter) to congratulate the Dodgers on their progress in the MLB playoffs.

The Dodgers will now host the New York Mets on Sunday in Game 1 of the next series. LeBron James will likely be cheering whether he’s back in attendance or not, as will Lakers legend Magic Johnson, who is a member of the Dodgers’ ownership group.
