November 4, 2024 – Home for heroes – Join Habitat for Humanity in supporting local families of veterans and first responders through the 7th annual Habitat for Heroes fundraiser to benefit the Habitat for Humanity Montgomery County Veterans Build Program. Enjoy complimentary libations and light bites at an elegant cocktail-style event. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in red, white and blue cocktail attire. Opportunities to “Honor Your Hero” and become part of the “Friends of the Brave” alliance give you the chance to make an even bigger impact. Time: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM. November 9, 2024 – 22 for 22 Veterans Day Run – Join the Mighty Oaks Foundation for the 2^i.e annually 22 for 22 Veterans Day Run including a 5k and 10k. Whether you are an experienced runner or a beginner, everyone is welcome to participate. The nonprofit’s mission is to come together as a community and shed light on the epidemic of veteran suicide so that no veteran has to fight alone. November 9, 2024 – 1^st Annual Woodforest Veterans Day Ruck/Walk – Join Woodforest for a weekend ruck/walk honoring veterans on Saturday, November 9^e kick-off on the Beerforest patio. November 11, 2024 – Tributes to Woodlands Township Veterans Day – You are invited to The Woodlands Township Veterans Day Tribute featuring a presentation of colors, musical performances, remarks from local dignitaries, a village troop donation challenge and more. During the event, there will be a Care Package Drop Off on site to accept donations of recommended items to be shipped to the troops. November 11, 2024 – Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Park Veterans Day observance – On Veterans Day, the Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Commission will show appreciation for our veterans with musical presentations, guest speakers and the dedication of “THE LINE.” There is covered parking and seating available.
