LSU Football Score vs. USC: Live Updates from Las Vegas | LSU

LSU football didn’t come to Las Vegas this weekend to have fun and maybe lose some money at the Bellagio.

According to Will Campbell, the Tigers are heading to Sin City for a game.

“We know what we’re there for. We’re not there to go to Caesars Palace,” Campbell said. “And everyone in this building knows that.”

LSU opens its season against USC on Sunday at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The game marks the start of coach Brian Kelly’s third season as manager as the Tigers attempt to snap a four-game losing streak in home openers.

It will be only the third time that LSU and USC have faced off on the court. The last showdown came in 1984, when the Tigers defeated the Trojans 23-3 at the Coliseum. But USC won the first game between the two teams at Tiger Stadium in 1979, rallying from a 12-3 deficit in the fourth quarter to win 17-12.

Here are live score updates from LSU’s awesome season opener against the Trojans.

The Tigers lead 17-13 with 8:38 to play.

LSU forces a turnover on downs after Jones deflects Moss’ pass in the air. Weeks nearly intercepts the pass. Tigers have the ball on their own 21-yard line after an unsportsmanlike conduct call against Major Burns.

On third-and-six, Whit Weeks makes a tackle for loss on a USC run to the right side. The Trojans go for it on fourth-and-9 at the LSU 36-yard line.

USC wide receiver Zachariah Branch returns kicker Aeron Burrell’s kickoff all the way to the LSU 43-yard line. Burrell made the tackle, preventing the potential touchdown. His kick was from the 20-yard line instead of the 35 because of an unsportsmanlike penalty Lacy was called after his touchdown catch.
