Man City throws away a 3-0 lead and draws against Feyenoord

While Feyenoord fans celebrated wildly at the end, City’s players were left to think about another match to forget.

In the space of four weeks, Guardiola’s side have exited the EFL Cup, lost three games in the Premier League and dropped five of six points in the Champions League.

This felt like a defeat at the end as City capitulated at the back after building a commanding lead.

Haaland got them going from the penalty spot after they were fouled by Quinten Timber before Gundogan’s left-foot volley, which took a poor deflection, doubled the lead shortly after half-time.

When Haaland stepped in to guide Matheus Nunes’ low cross over the line in the 53rd minute, it all looked like a contest until Gvardiol’s careless pass gave Feyenoord a route back.

It was another sloppy performance from a City side that has lost its way.

Guardiola had a pained expression at the end.

City are fifteenth in the Champions League – two points short of an automatic place in the last sixteen – after dropping seven points from five games.

The 2023 winners will travel to Juventus on December 11 and then take on Paris St-Germain on January 22 before hosting Club Brugge in their final group match on January 29.

More to follow.
