Man hospitalized after argument leads to stabbing at South Side drugstore

CHICAGO – A man was hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after an argument led to a stabbing at a store on the city’s South Side.

The incident happened at a Walgreens just before 1:30 p.m. in the 9100 block of South Commercial Avenue in the city’s South Chicago neighborhood.

Officers said the victim, a 35-year-old man, got into an argument with another person, who then pulled a knife and stabbed the man.

After the stabbing, the person responsible fled the scene in a silver Dodge minivan.

According to police, the victim suffered a laceration to his left shoulder and was taken to hospital where he was listed in good condition.
