Mark Cuban is trying to talk his way out of insults toward pro-Trump women

Billionaire Mark Cuban appeared to try to get him out of trouble after he made some offensive comments on “The View” about women who support former President Trump.

Cuban was appearing on ABC’s “The View” Thursday morning when he made the comments.

“Donald Trump, you never see him around strong, intelligent women. Never,” Cuban said. “It’s that simple. They’re intimidating to him. He doesn’t like to be challenged by them, and you know, Nikki Haley will call him out on his bullshit about reproductive rights and how he sees, treats and talks to women. I mean, he just can’t have her with him.

After taking a beating for his comments on social media, Cuban turned to social media Thursday afternoon to clarify his statements.

MARK CUBAN: TRUMP never associates himself with ‘STRONG, INTELLIGENT WOMEN’

“This is what I said during a conversation about why Nikki Haley wasn’t active in his campaign,” Cuban said. “I know many strong, intelligent women who voted for Trump, including in my extended family. I’m certainly not saying that women voters aren’t smart, strong and intelligent.

“I know he has worked with strong, intelligent women like Elaine Chao, Kelly Anne, Ivanka and many others,” Cuban added. “I maintain my opinion that he does not like to be challenged publicly.”

Jimmy Failla responded to Cuban’s post, saying, “Should have just told us there’s an apostrophe in your statement. This is garbage, honey.”

Failla was referring to the White House’s spin on President Biden’s comments earlier this week when he apparently described Trump supporters as “trash” during a Zoom call with Voto Latino on Tuesday.

“The only trash I see floating out there are his supporters,” Biden said in response to comments from comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, who called Puerto Rico a “floating island of trash” during Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden.

The White House immediately denied that the president was referring directly to Trump’s supporters, instead adding an apostrophe to the word “supporter’s” and claiming he was referring to the comedian’s trash talk.

Failla wasn’t the only one to comment on Cuban’s spin.

“Everyone heard what you said, Mark. Now you’re trying to rewrite history. You offended tens of millions of American women, and they won’t forget it!’ wrote one person.

Another wrote: “You know exactly what you said Mark. Be a man and own up instead of backpedaling.”

Trump also responded to Cuban’s comments on Thursday evening.

“Mark Cuban, a very stupid guy who thinks he’s hot stuff but he’s absolutely nothing, now says I don’t surround myself with strong women,” the former president said. ‘Actually, he’s completely wrong. I surround myself with the strongest women – knowing that ALL women are amazing, whether they are strong or not.

“This man is so foolish, he’s on TV all the time because he’s critical, and the only reason I completely shut him down while I was president is because he called incessantly. I told him very emphatically, ‘Look Mark, I have a lot of the things that I have to do, I just can’t take so many pointless calls from you,” Trump continued. “Anyway, that affected him a lot, because he’s a very insecure man, and a BIG LOSER, that. he always has been and always will be! No one likes him, no one respects him, and he is unattractive both inside and out! He should go back and talk about the person he had to support because I didn’t want to, Lyin’ Kamala Harris. He also has no clubhead speed!

“Maybe I’m surrounded by the strongest women in the world, including heads of country, who make Mark look like a ‘baby!’ All strong women, and women in general, should be very angry about this weak man’s statement,” he concluded.
