Mark Cuban, a supporter of Vice President Kamala Harris, is being torn by the Trump campaign after saying the former president has never been surrounded by “strong, intelligent women.”

The comments were made during Thursday’s episode of ABC’s The view after former Trump aide Alyssa Farah Griffin asked Cuban his opinion about former President Donald Trump not asking ex-South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley to help him reach female voters.

“I mean…it’s going to put her (Harris) over the edge of Nikki Haley’s supporters,” Cuban said. “Donald Trump, you never see him around strong, intelligent women. Never. It’s that simple. They are intimidating to him. He doesn’t like to be challenged by them.”

Cuban added that Haley, who served under Trump as Washington’s ambassador to the United Nations, will challenge Trump “on his nonsense with reproductive rights and how he sees, treats and talks to women.”

The comment sparked outrage among people close to Trump’s MAGA movement. The former president’s campaign account on to make.’

Kayleigh McEnany, the former White House press secretary, said Cuban’s statement was “deeply insulting.”

“I worked for Donald Trump,” McEnany said during an appearance on Fox News. “I consider myself a strong woman. I consider the people around me as strong women.”

This is a developing story that will be updated as more information becomes available.
