Mass. Halloween forecast calls for temps in the 70s – NBC Boston

You can throw out the coats for Halloween as it will start to feel more like a mild late summer day and temperatures will climb into the upper 70s and lower 80s. The hottest Halloween since 1946. Trick-or-treating time estimates temperatures will be in the 60s to 70s with no rain.

With warm temperatures and a generally dry fall in New England, the elevated fire danger will continue through Thursday and Friday. The good news for air quality is that winds will blow offshore, causing smoke from fires already burning near the coast to blow offshore instead of inland.

Friday will be a windy day, with temperatures in the 70s as a strong cold front approaches. This cold front won’t bring much rain, but it will bring noticeably cooler and more seasonal air. Highs this weekend will be in the 50s with sunny skies. We’ll return to the upper 60s next week.
