The season opener loss to the Eagles was bad, and the Packers are now preparing for something that could be much worse.

Quarterback Jordan Love, in his first game after signing a massive contract averaging $55 million a year in new money, suffered a leg injury late in the fourth quarter. His status is unknown to most, including his head coach.

Matt LaFluer said after the game about Love’s injury: “Don’t know.”

Love got confused and was hit by multiple Eagles. He was on the ground for a few minutes. He limped off the court. He then walked carefully with help to the locker room after the 34-29 loss. Malik Willis, who recently arrived via a trade with the Titans, completed the final attempt to win the game.

Love completed 17 of 34 passes for 260 yards, with two touchdowns and an interception.

The Packers host the Colts in Week 2. They have Willis on the active roster and Sean Clifford on the practice squad. Green Bay may need to add another quarterback. Of the available options, Ryan Tannehill is the biggest name.

But for now, no one knows. LaFleur included.
