Microsoft is investigating outages as thousands of users report problems with Teams and Outlook

The outage started at 3am on Monday morning

Thousands of Microsoft users woke up Monday morning to email, Teams and other problems.

Since 3 a.m., the software maker has been dealing with issues that impact Exchange Online.

Microsoft 365 Status posted on X about the issue.

We’re investigating an issue impacting users trying to access Exchange Online or functionality within the Microsoft Teams calendar. For more information, see MO941162 in the admin center.

After 9 a.m., the X Account issued an update stating that manual restarts will continue on affected machines.

We are monitoring the progress of the solution, which has been deployed in approximately 70% of affected environments. We continue to manually restart the remaining affected machines. For more information, see MO941162 in the admin center.

Users have taken to Downdector to report the issues.

As of 11 a.m., nearly 6,000 users have reported issues with Microsoft 365 and 7,000 users have reported issues with Outlook. More than 300 users report problems with Teams. Nearly 300 users report problems with Store.
