Three keys

1) Get the right equipment – The weather forecast for this one calls for a potentially sloppy track in Jacksonville. We’ve seen the Vikings enter games like this without being prepared for the conditions and it’s cost them a lot of money, so hopefully the equipment guys have the right cleats for everyone so the purple ones don’t have to deal with them this time.

2) Go after Mac Jones – The former first-round pick will be the starter for the home team at quarterback with Trevor Lawrence sidelined, and. . Well, he’s really not that good, despite his career against the Vikings a few years ago. Brian Flores should be able to put Jones in a blender on this one, so hopefully it will be a long day for him and the Vikings can take advantage.

3) Don’t be stubborn – Yes, on paper the Vikings are a very good team and the Jaguars have one of the worst records in the NFL. Games aren’t played on paper, though, and the Vikings don’t need this to be one of those games they should win and end up losing. If they play their game, they should be able to handle a banged-up Jaguars team.
