Next Social Security Check Announced

The Social Security Administration (SSA) is the federal agency responsible for providing a monthly Social Security check to Americans eligible for the Retirement, Survivors, and Disability Insurance (RSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) programs. Because the SSA must deliver payments to more than 70 million beneficiaries in the United States, they give their… Social security payment schedulewhere beneficiaries can find all planned dates for the year. Based on this payment schedule this month, one more check is due on Wednesday, October 23rd.

The last Social Security check from October has been confirmed

This Wednesday, beneficiaries of the Retirement, Survivors and Disability Insurance Program (RSDI) who filed for benefits after May 1997 and were born between the 21st and 31st will receive the last Social Security check of the month. It is important to emphasize that this payment already includes the 3.2% cost of living adjustment (COLA)which was recorded in October last year. Once this payment is received, the SSA will resume its regular schedule on November 1 with a double payment. For more information about the upcoming payment schedule, please read the information below as there will be minor changes to the regular payment schedule in November.

  • SSI recipients are always the first group of Americans to receive their benefits on the first day of the month, followed by RSDI beneficiaries who filed for benefits on the third day of the month before May 1997. However, because November 3 falls on a weekend, the Social Security Administration will reschedule that payment for the previous business day, which also falls on November 1. For this reason, beneficiaries will receive a double payment that day.
  • In addition to the two initial payments, the SSA will send out three additional payments on the second, third and fourth Wednesday of the month to pensioners who applied for benefits after May 1997, on the basis of the following conditions:
    • If they were born between the 1st and the 10th, they will receive their Social Security check the second week of the month, or on November 13th.
    • If they were born between the 11th and the 20th, they will receive their Social Security check the second week of the month, or on November 20th.
    • If they were born between the 21st and the 31st, they will receive their Social Security check the second week of the month or on November 27th.

Although the Social Security Administration sends payments on time, recipients should be advised that if their payments do not arrive on the scheduled day, it may be due to your bank’s processing time. As a result, it is generally recommended that you wait at least three mailing days before contacting SSA customer service. Don’t forget to check your “My Social Security Account” for more information about your monthly payment amount.

Social Security to simplify access to qualify for the Social Security check

To make its procedures less bureaucratic and more accessible to people with disabilities, the SSA has changed them. The new policy, “Interim Improvements to the Disability Adjudication Process: Including How We Consider Past Work,” issued April 18, has helped achieve this. With the updated version, claimants won’t have to wait as long to receive their first one Social security payment upon receipt of an SSA decision. The Executive Order on Transforming Federal Customer Experience and Service Delivery to Rebuild Trust in Government includes this action.

Simplifying the assessment process to determine whether an individual can perform a task related to relevant past work as a result of: certification of disability event is the main deviation from the previous methodology. The new requirement will force candidates to submit their work papers at easier and shorter intervals. First, any former job started or ended within 30 days of application will no longer be considered by the SSA. Secondly, instead of fifteen years of professional experience, you only need to provide five years of experience.
