The countdown has officially begun.

Today marks seven days until Election Day and 500,000 Garden State residents have voted so far.

According to SmartTarget, New Jersey has 584,116 registered voters who have already returned their ballots for the 2024 election by Tuesday, November 5.

The Democratic political data and data services company has released its report for NJ Statewide 2024 Early & Absentee Vote to TargetEarly – a dashboard that examines early in-person and absentee voting. The process involves collecting early voter returns daily from all U.S. state and county election offices and analyzing the information based on political affiliation and how the vote was cast.

The report outlines which political party has the most mail-in ballots so far. And it also provides a breakdown by counties of each state.

Of the 584,116 returned ballots statewide, 357,339 (61.2%) are Democrats; 120,540 (20.6%) are Republicans; 104,089 (17.8%) are unaffiliated and 2,148 (0.4%) are others.

Below you will find the figures per province. These numbers are based on early votes for states with 1,000 votes.

Of the total mail-in ballots returned statewide, 39,611 are from Monmouth County. Of those, 20,979 (53.0%) went to the Democratic party, 9,803 (24.7%) to the Republican party and 8,699 (22.0%) are unaffiliated.
