It’s Wednesday, and you know what that means: it’s time for another round Connections! (Apologies to those of you who don’t understand this bit, but IYKYK.)

The last few matches haven’t been too easy, especially considering the purple groups. I imagine that many people have not understood the Chinese philosophy of Monday.

As far as I know, the Eloise series of children’s books that made up Yesterday’s Purples doesn’t have a big footprint at all in Britain, where I grew up. I was a voracious, open-minded reader as a child and had never heard of that series. I’m curious how popular they were/are in North America.

We hope for a slightly simpler game today.

Today NYT Connections hints and answers for wednesday november 27th are coming soon.

Play connections

Connections is a free, popular New York Times daily word game. Every day you get a new puzzle at midnight. You can play on the NYT website or Games app.

You will be shown a grid of 16 words. Your job is to divide them into four groups of four by discovering the connections between them. The groups can be things like clickable items, names for study participants, or words preceded by a body part.

There is only one solution to each puzzle, and you have to be careful when it comes to words that fit into more than one category. You can play the words in any order so you might see the connections between them.

Each group has a color code. The yellow group is usually the easiest to figure out, blue and green fall in the middle, and the purple group is usually the most difficult. The purple group often uses puns.

Select four words that you think go together and press Send. If you make a guess and you’re wrong, you lose a life. When you’re close to the right group, you might see a message saying you’re just one word away from the right group, but you still need to figure out which one to swap.

If you make four mistakes, the game is over. Let’s make sure this doesn’t happen with some tips and, if you’re really struggling, today’s information Connections answers. As with Word and other similar games, it’s easy to share results with your friends on social media and group chats.

If you have a NYT All Access or Games subscription, you can access the Connections archive. This includes every previous game of Connectionsso you can go back and play the games you missed.

Apart from the first 60 or so games, you should be able to find my hints for each grid via Google if you need them! Just click here and add the date of the game for which you need clues or the answers to the search query.

What are today’s answers to connections?

Spoiler alert! Don’t scroll any further down the page until you’re ready to explore today’s information Connections answers.

This is your final warning!

Today Connections answers are…

  • Yellow group — does not work reliably (BUGGY, ERRATIC, GLITCHY, SPOTTY)
  • Green group — car parts (BUMPER, GRILLE, MIRROR, RIM)
  • Blue group — where a sitter could sit (BABY, HOUSE, PET, PLANT)
  • Purple Group — ____ band (BOY, RUBBER, TRIBUTE, WEDDING)

My win streak is over after a five day run. But hey, at least I’d be sitting pretty if this were the case Danger. Here’s how I fared:

I was too confident guessing RUBBER, BUMPER, GRILLE and RIM before I realized that the first one wasn’t really one of them and that I was one away from a group. I yanked it, threw in SPIEGEL and had the greens. Then I had no problem with the yellow colors.

HOUSE, BABY, PET, and WEDDING seemed like a decent group of life milestones, so I guessed the other four words, thinking they were the purples. But no, I was one away again.

PLANT and PET seemed like the two best words to swap. But again, I was one away.

I was down to the wire at this point. I was stunned and didn’t think a TRIBUTE was necessarily a life milestone, but I gave it a try anyway. And that was the end of my series.

I’m annoyed by this loss because the very first thing that came to my mind as soon as I saw RUBBER in the top left corner was ‘band’. I should have listened to my feelings. Or at least remembered that later in the game. So stupid.

That’s all it takes for today Connections clues and answers. Be sure to check out my blog for tips and the solution for Thursday’s game if you need it.

PS After Chappell Roan, Flowerovlove is my absolute favorite musical discovery of the year. I really can’t get enough of her earwormy bedroom doll.

I’ve been thinking about getting a bass guitar for a while now, and maybe I’ll do so after the holidays so I can learn the funky bass line to ‘erase you’. So even though I recommended two Flowerovlove songs a few weeks ago, here are a few more:
