If you are looking for help with today Connections puzzle, then you have come to the right place.

To keep your winning streak alive, Newsweek has put together some tips to get you through Tuesday’s game.

Since his debut in The New York Times in June 2023, Connections has quickly built a large following. The puzzle challenges players to group words based on subtle connections, combining logic with language skills. Today, it is the publication’s second most popular game, just behind Word.

If you’d rather avoid spoilers, be careful while scrolling, as the answers to the puzzle are revealed at the bottom of the page.

Play ‘Connections’ instructions

Each Connections The puzzle contains 16 words, which players must sort into four categories. The goal is to find the common theme for each category, represented by the colors: yellow, green, blue and purple. The categories increase in difficulty, with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue and finally purple: the most challenging and often the most abstract.

Some words seem to fit into multiple categories. Despite this, each group has only four unique words. If players get stuck, they can use the shuffle button to rearrange the words on the screen. A maximum of four mistakes are allowed before you finally ‘lose’.

Earlier this year, Connections developer and The New York Times crossword editor Wyna Liu shared with Newsweek her “best advice” for playing the game.

“Wait as long as you can before you gamble,” she said. “You may see the board and have fully identified the category, seeing five words that could belong in that category.”
