DETROIT – The Tigers are hot, and for the first time in more than a decade, they showed a record number of Detroiters what playoff baseball can be.

The Tigers filled Comerica Park with 44,885 fans, the largest postseason crowd in Comerica Park history, for a thrilling 3-0 shutout of the Cleveland Guardians in Game 3 of the American League Division Series. It was their first postseason win at home since 2013.

Detroit shutout Cleveland and improved to a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five series. The teams face off on Thursday with even higher stakes; a win for Detroit would send the Tigers to the American League Championship Series for the first time since 2013. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:08 PM.
