It will be a whiteout at Lambeau Field today for the Green Bay Packers’ game against the Houston Texans.

Jordan Love and the Packers (4-2), who will all be decked out in white uniforms and helmets for the Winter Warning theme, will look for their third straight win when they welcome CJ Stroud and the Texans for a Week 7 matchup.

The Texans (5-1) come to Green Bay as winners of three straight games and sit atop the AFC South. They have already played more NFC North opponents than the Packers, beating the Chicago Bears and suffering their only loss of the season to the Minnesota Vikings.

Sunday’s match will pit two teams against each other who both won convincing play-off matches last year and have exciting young squads full of playmakers.

Love, who appears to be returning to form after missing two games earlier this season with an MCL sprain in his left knee, will face a Texans team that has one of the better passing defenses in the league. Meanwhile, reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year Stroud will face a Packers defense that has been chasing turnovers all year.

During the game, contact reporter Tom Silverstein for his popular live chat where he will answer your questions and comments.

And I provide live reporting before, during and after today’s match. Follow below for all the Packers vs Texans scoring plays and highlights.

Tucker Kraft is certainly blossoming into a star.

Jordan Love found a diving Kraft in the end zone for a touchdown to cap off an impressive drive for the tight end and the Packers, who now lead 7-3. It’s Kraft’s fourth touchdown reception of the season. Kraft, a second-year player, is proving to be so valuable.

He started the drive that started deep in Packers territory with a scoop to give the Packers some breathing room. And then he capped it off with a huge catch to put the Packers on the board.

Texans linebacker Neville Hewitt had the interception of Love in the first quarter, but on this drive he cost his team 15 yards on what would have been a third down after being called for unnecessary roughness.

Love seems to have shaken off the rust from the early interception.

Driving force: 13 plays, 92 yards, 6:50

Score: Packers 7, Texans 3 (with 13:16 left in the second quarter)

The Packers are on their third possession of the game as the second quarter begins.

After a four-yard loss on a reverse end-around against Christian Watson, they have a second-and-14 from the Texans 41-yard line.

The drive started on their own 8-yard line, but they moved the chains with their assortment of playmakers. The ride took more than 5 minutes. Tucker Kraft had an 11-yard catch and ran for a first down to get the offense going. Then Jordan Love had a nice 11-yard completion to Romeo Doubs and Bo Melton stepped up for an 8-yard catch for a first down.

We know Xavier McKinney can pick quarterbacks. He had five in the team’s first five games.

But his game goes beyond the secondary and interceptions. The do-it-all safety can come after the quarterback.

On a 3rd-and-6 at the Packers 36-yard line, McKinney was left untouched on the left side for a blitz and sacked C.J. Stroud for an 8-yard loss. That was a huge move by McKinney, the team’s prized free agent acquisition.

The sack pushed the Texans out of field goal range.

The Texans don’t have five defensive starters, but that doesn’t matter.

After Houston picked off Love on its first possession, the Texans forced a three-and-out.

The Packers offense looked great against Arizona at home last week, but so far they aren’t trending in the right direction.

The Texans capitalize on Jordan Love’s interception with a 23-yard field goal by Ka’imi Fairbairn.

CJ Stroud had three incompletions and didn’t look too comfortable in the red zone. The Packers gave the Texans another chance thanks to an offside penalty from Preston Smith.

After the field goal, Packers linebacker Kingsley Enagbare was called for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. That’s three penalties for the Packers early in this game. Penalties have been a season-long problem for this team.

Things also seem to be very fluid between these two teams.

Driving force: 4 plays, 6 yards, 1 minute

Score: Texans 3, Packers 0 (with 11:48 left in the first quarter)

The Packers get a 39-yard kickoff return from Keisean Nixon, but it is called back due to a holding penalty.

But the Packers get the yards back on the first offensive play after Jordan Love found Romeo Doubs for a 23-yard catch.

However, not long after, on 3rd and 5 at the 50-yard mark, Love’s pass to Dontayvion Wicks was intercepted by Neville Hewitt, who returned it 45 yards to the Packers 11-yard line.

The ball was tipped, but the Texans read Love’s pass. Not a good start. Love has now thrown an interception in five straight games.

The theme is “Winter Warning,” but it’s 72 degrees at kickoff. What about the weather in October? It couldn’t get more beautiful on an autumn day.

The white the fans are wearing should at least keep them cool.

The Packers quarterback understood the assignment. He took part in the “white out” theme with his Sunday best as he arrived for the match.

Starting defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt is inactive for the third straight game due to an ankle injury.

Wyatt was ruled out based on Friday’s injury report. Safety Kitan Oladapo, defensive end Brenton Cox Jr., guard/center Jacob Monk, tackle Travis Glover and tight end John FitzPatrick fill out the Packers’ inactive list.

Here’s more on the inactive list.

Start time: Afternoon

Location: Lambeau Field

The Packers and Texans meet for the sixth time ever on Sunday. The Packers lead the all-time series 4-1.

The Packers will wear all-white helmets and uniforms for their “Winter Warning” theme. The team also asks fans to wear white to create a white-out atmosphere.

Brandon McManus is the Packers’ new kicker. The Packers signed veteran McManus to a one-year deal this week after cutting struggling Brayden Narveson.

McManus, 31, last played for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2023. He signed with the Washington Commanders in the offseason but was fired after allegations of sexual assault and harassment surfaced from his time in Jacksonville.

A Florida court judge dismissed the lawsuit in early September, but the lawsuit was refiled. The NFL later determined that there was “insufficient evidence” that McManus had violated the NFL’s conduct policy, which allowed him to sign with another team.

According to court records, McManus’ case remains open, but he said this week that the case has been “resolved.”

The Packers vs Texans game is CBS’ top game for Week 7. That means you’ll hear Jim Nantz (play-by-play) and Tony Romo (analyst) in the booth with Tracy Wolfson on the sidelines.

The Packers are 4-2 this season after winning their last two games.

The Packers’ two losses are to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1 from Brazil and to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4 when Love returned from injury.

Green Bay won 2-0 when Jordan Love was injured earlier this season and Malik Willis started at quarterback.

The Texans are 5-1 and have a two-game lead over the second-place Indianapolis Colts. Houston is on a three-game winning streak and scored 41 points in dominating the New England Patriots last week.

Their only loss is to the Vikings in Week 3.

The Packers are field goal favorites over the Texans.

The Packers return to good health. The team trained on Friday with 52 of the 53 players. Defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt, who hasn’t played since suffering an ankle injury in Week 4 against the Vikings, was the only player not to practice.
